The artist’s inspiration has evolved from the earlier works of the Celts, and from the icons of Europe, to the more recent style presented by the pre-Raphaelites. The common appeal seems to be the vivid use of color along with texture and patterns — all presented in support of the message intended.

In this mixed medium series, the artist begins with an image usually painted in oil or alkyds. From these images, a giclée print is made on canvas. The prints are then stretched and a three-dimensional frame is created; the frame may be only an illusion created of sculpting compound on the canvas and finished with gold or composition gold leaf before painting. Embellishment to the image on the canvas is also made. The final piece is a mixed medium window to a symbolic world; each piece can be similar, yet different.
